Questions.
Clarity before commitment.
What is ISHOADO?
ISHOADO is a martial arts system with deep roots in traditional karate and jiu jitsu. It emphasizes practical application, structural integrity, and survival mechanics over tournament scoring.
Who can train at Sunrise Dojo?
We accept committed adults who are seeking long-term practice. This is a serious environment requiring humility and consistency. We are not a fit for casual hobbyists or those seeking quick belts.
Is there a contract?
No. We require no contracts and no membership fees. You pay for your instruction month-to-month. Rank and progress are earned through competence, not financial commitment.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes. Private instruction is fully customized to your age, physical condition, and goals. It is the fastest path to understanding the biomechanics of the arts we teach.
What systems are taught?
Our core curriculum draws from Ishoado Karate, GoJu Karate, Japanese Jiu Jitsu, Sanuces, Karado, Chendokan Aikido, and comprehensive weapons training.
Are there classes for kids?
Our primary focus is adult instruction. For inquiries regarding younger students, please contact us directly to discuss.
How do I get started?
All prospective students must request an introductory assessment. This allows us to ensure our dojo is the right fit for your goals. Submit an assessment request via the contact page or call us directly.
